We are looking for articles of 250 to 500 words. Depending on the type of article, the length may vary; please use previously published material as a guide, or contact our editorial team.Click here to submit an article. For Illustrations:
Be sure to cite any sources, including date, publication, author, pages. If found on the web, provide the author, the site, and date on which you found the material. When considering whether to send an illustration, bear in mind we value illustrations that are fresh, on topics of frequent use, highly credible, and specific in detail. We want grade A illustrations. We use illustrations from both Christian and "secular" sources. We use personal, unpublished illustrations ("The other day as I drove to work...") only if they are A++. We pay $30 for any illustration, $15 for any quotation that we publish in the Preaching Connection Newsletter, and $75 for movie-based illustrations; please e-mail us for guidelines on writing these.With movie-based illustrations, our policy is not to use a scene that contains profanity as an illustration because we want preachers to be able to show the clip during the message if they choose. We can use a scene that does not have profanity even though the remainder of the movie does have some profanity. If there is profanity immediately before or after a selected clip, please let us know so that we can include a warning.
