One morning as I walked down the driveway to our mailbox, I noticed a stranger walking up the neighbor's drive. He called out, "Hi, lady."

Wanting to be friendly, I waved and said, "Hi." Looking startled, the man disappeared into the house next door. As I brought the mail in, my daughter explained the man's surprise. He was greeting the neighbor's dog--Lady.
