Beethoven's Unknowing Self-Poisoning
An Illinois scientist recently uncovered the likely cause of Ludwig von Beethoven's death. After studying strands of Beethoven's hair, Dr. William Walsh, of the Health Research Institute, determined that the composer's untimely death at the age of 57 was the result of lead poisoning. Walsh found a hundred times the normal amount of lead. According to Walsh, the lead poisoning (which caused Beethoven enormous discomfort and perhaps even deafness for over 25 years) may likely be traced to his drinking from and swimming in mineral spas as an adult.
In both the physical and spiritual worlds, people often do not know what is hurting them.
