In 2011, after being convicted of stealing a necklace, actress Lindsey Lohan was sentenced to work 12-hour shifts at a county morgue twice a week for four months. Lohan hated it at first, but then she got used to it. After a few weeks, she stopped blaming the legal system for her problems and started facing and admitting her own bad choices, including drinking, drug use, and DUI arrests. Lohan said, "I was like: Okay. Something needs to change, and I think that's me."
