A Not-So-Golden Escape

The California Highway Patrol encountered a sparkly surprise during a recent traffic stop: a suspect covered in gold spray paint. While off-duty, an officer followed a driver who had hit three cars and who was described as "gold." The officer found this odd description to be true: "[t]he man was covered head to toe in gold, and his steering wheel was covered in patches of paint."

Possible Preaching Angle:

The reasons behind the glittery getaway aren't clear, but doesn't this story make you ask some questions? "How did he think he could get away with it?" we might wonder. "He wasn't exactly inconspicuous!" We could ask the same questions of ourselves, however, when we think God won't notice our own "getaways."
