When Life Gives You a Lemonade Recipe …

A lemonade stand is a classic option for kids hoping to bring in some extra cash—but how about a lemonade business? That's the path 11-year-old Mikaila Ulmer pursued. Her very own lemonade company, BeeSweet Lemonade, started with her grandmother's recipe and eventually ended up on ABC's Shark Tank, where Mikaila was granted a $60,000 investment. She has also signed a contract with Whole Foods to sell her lemonade at 55 of the chain's stores.

Today (2024), Me & the Bees Lemonade (formerly known as Bee Sweet Lemonade) is arguably one of the most known lemonade brands in grocery stores. After appearing on "Shark Tank," the company achieved success in retailers like Target and Whole Foods. It's hard to believe the brand was founded by Mikaila Ulmer, who was just 9 years old when she pitched in front of the Sharks.

Possible Preaching Angle:

With her drive and her dreams, Mikaila can point us back to Paul's words to Timothy: "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young"
