Don't Drink and Drive (And Other Truths)
Commercials warning against drunk driving are not a new phenomenon, but for the 2016 Super Bowl, Budweiser decided that Academy Award-winning actress Helen Mirren—"a notoriously frank and uncensored British lady," as she calls herself—might be able to get the message across. In a review of the ad, the Washington Post offered up some snarky commentary: "Apparently we only listen to common sense when it's delivered in a stern-sounding British accent."
Possible Preaching Angle:
Isn't it crazy to think about how deaf we can choose to be—not just to messages about drunk driving, but to so many other truths? What does it take for us to practice what we know to be true?
