A Person's a Person No Matter How Small
A special baby girl was born this past month (2015) —E'layah Faith Pegues. The three month premature baby came into the world at a whopping 10 ounces and 10 inches long. That's right, less than a pound. E'layah ranks as one of the smallest surviving babies in the world. Her mom told reporters, "I was just so filled with joy that she (E'layah) was ok. She came out."
But as noted by LifeNews, there's a dark side to this story: "Second-trimester and late-term abortions are legal in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and other nations around the world. So when a very premature baby is born, it's a clear indication of what a baby at that gestational age looks like when he or she is subjected to an abortion." Or as Horton the elephant says in Dr. Seuss' When Horton Hears a Who: "A person's a person no matter how small." Thankfully for E'layah, the doctors say her prognosis is good and she'll be heading home soon.
