Ephesians 6:18 tells us to "pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." But a woman in Florida recently forgot a piece of the second half of the verse: "With this in mind, be alert." See, she had been praying with her eyes faithfully closed—while she was driving. After "fail[ing] to stop at a stop sign, [she] went through an intersection and into the yard of a home." Her attempts to back out of the yard were in vain, as her car got stuck in the sand; eventually, she ended up in the hospital "for evaluation" and with a citation for "reckless driving with property damage."

Possible Preaching Angle:

The moral of the story? Read your Bible in context. Or maybe pray at all times, but keep your eyes wide open. Or maybe just "watch the road."
