Burger King Urges Customers to Order from McDonald’s Instead
Burger King has urged their customers to order from competitors after more coronavirus lockdown measures were put in place. In a statement released on Twitter, the food giant encouraged fans to support its sister food chains like McDonald's by ordering meals through home delivery, takeaway, or drive-thru, in a bid to help the thousands of people employed in the hospitality industry.
The opening statement read: Order from McDonald's. We never thought we would ask you to do this, just as we never imagined we would ask you to order from KFC, Subway, Five Guys, Taco Bell and other independent food outlets, too numerous to mention here.
In short: Order from any of our sister food chains. Restaurants employing thousands of staff really need your support at the moment. So, if you want to help, keep treating yourself to tasty meals through home delivery, takeaway, or drive through. Getting a Whopper is always best, but ordering a Big Mac is also not such a bad thing.
Possible Preaching Angle:
This is a powerful example of cooperation over competition. Christians and churches model the same unity as we call people to “one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all” (Eph. 4:4-6).
