For several weeks we've hinted that exciting changes for PreachingToday.com are just around the corner. Well, those changes are no longer just around the corner. They're here. You are seeing and experiencing everything we've been working on behind the scenes to make PreachingToday.com an even stronger site for advancing the art and craft of biblical preaching.

Because everything looks so new, let me help you get your bearings. At the top of the page, you see that there are four main collections that comprise the site: Find Sermon Illustrations, Connect with Culture, Find Sermons, and Sharpen Your Skills. You're actually quite familiar with these collections, even if they look or feel a bit different.

The Find Sermon Illustrations section used to be titled "Illustrations." If you're looking for all the illustrative material we have provided in the past and the newest material we've pulled together—stories, the weekly News That Illustrates feature, quotes, statistics, humorous anecdotes, prop illustrations, and movie scenes—this is the place to go! In the "Find Sermon Illustrations" section of the site, you'll also find our lectionary resources, illustrations and other resources for holidays and special events, video illustrations via the Preaching Today Media Store, images for use on PowerPoint slides, and hundreds of cartoons from the archives of Leadership journal. (Note: To the left of the main image on the homepage is a list of quicklinks. You can also access our illustrations by clicking on the quicklink titled "Illustrations.")

Connect with Culture is a new addition to our site. This collection includes articles, illustrations, and resources for holidays and other cultural events that will help preachers find where the gospel and culture intersect. Take time to explore it each week to find illustrations related to pop culture or cultural trends, skills articles and workshops that deal with issues regarding the intersections between gospel and culture, illustrations and other resources for holidays and special events, a Twitter-like feed of the top news stories that have illustrative material, and an expanded version of the News That Illustrates feature we run in the weekly illustrations.

Find Sermons is the section of the site previously known as "Sermon Builders." Here you'll find all the sermon material we have provided in the past and the newest material we've pulled together—full transcripts, audio sermon, outlines, transcript series, ideas for your next series, and material from all of our featured preachers. (Note: You can also access our sermon resources by clicking on the quicklink titled "Sermons.")

The fourth and final collection is Sharpen Your Skills. This is the section we used to call "Preaching Skills." Here is all the training material we have provided in the past—articles on issues regarding the art and craft of biblical preaching, interviews and audio workshops with trusted voices, book reviews, and much, much more. (Note: You can also access our skills articles by clicking on the quicklink titled "Articles.")

Through this section of the site and through our weekly newsletter, we'll help you get acclimated to the new site in the days ahead. For now, we simply invite you to jump in and experience the new PreachingToday.com.
