You may have had quite a surprise when you came to PreachingToday.com. If you have already gone for a spin on our new beta site, your only surprise should have been the discovery that the old site has now been replaced by the new. But if you haven't visited our beta site, you're in for what we trust will be an enjoyable introduction to the new PreachingToday.com. Old things have passed away; behold, all things PreachingToday.com have become new.

There will be a wee bit of a learning curve for you that we're doing all we can to make smooth and short.

My most important suggestion is, take note of the "Quicklinks" with the colorful icons below the PreachingToday.com logo and to the left of the rotating panel. After you are comfortable finding what you need there, I suggest that you click through the various items across the main menu bar. You'll find that we offer several options that get you to the same key destinations.

Note: You can still search for content by Scripture reference. Simply type the reference in the main search field located to the right of the PreachingToday.com logo at the top of the page.

If you want to get back to the home page, the easiest way is to click on the PreachingToday.com icon at the top of the page. But you may also want to become familiar with the navigation feature that we've added commonly called a breadcrumb trail. The breadcrumb trail does not appear on the home page, but after you click on any of the pages in the site it appears just below the main menu bar around the horizontal center of the page. The breadcrumb trail let's you see what page you're on and gives a trail of links to get back to where you've been. At the left of the breadcrumb trail will always be the "home" link, followed by a ">" symbol, followed by one or more links that lead to the page you're on.

I also want to call attention to one feature we've had questions about during the beta phase. This feature, called "printer view of these results," allows you to create a printed page of the complete text of all ten items that appear in any search results page. This is true for illustrations and articles. (For sermons, you receive the full outline for each of the ten sermons and the link to be able to choose the sermon and download the full transcript.) Here's how to do it. When you have a page of search results, you will see a gray box above the first search result item. Beneath the search field and at the left, you will see four buttons. When you rollover the third button, you will see the rollover label that says, "Printer view of these results." Click that button, and a new window will open with the full text of all ten results on that page.

Well, that's enough tutorial for now. There will be more help in the weeks ahead. See our help and information area. We welcome your questions and feedback. Thank you for your patience as you find your way around the new PreachingToday.com. Enjoy! Be inspired!
