Francis Chan: What We Have Backwards
Francis Chan thinks we've got something about the Christian life completely backwards. By the time many of us hit the age of 25, Chan claims that we start to mellow out. But as Chan turns 47, he argues that we should be thinking, I'm getting closer to seeing Christ face-to-face. So I should be more excited, more carefree in our faith. Check out this week's FREE sermon from Francis—"Stay Strong in the Lord."
In this week's new skills article—"Sinners in the Hands of an Angry Preacher"—Pastor A.J. Swoboda asks a critical question: What's the place of anger in preaching? Swoboda notes that anger is an attribute of God, one expression of true love. But when does our anger become more about ourselves than about God's love? That's not an easy question, and Swoboda doesn't provide any neat answers. So read this article and wrestle through the place of anger in your preaching.
