Breaking Through the Silence of Abortion
In correlation with the National Sanctity of Human Life Day, we are proud to feature a very special preaching skills article. Nancy Kreuzer, the Regional Coordinator for Chicago's Silent No More campaign, shares a moving plea to preachers: Please talk more, not less, about abortion from the pulpit. Too many post-abortive women suffer alone, living under the lie that their sin is too horrible to mention during a sermon. Let this article stir your heart for the silent sufferers in your church.
From America to Algeria, from Ecuador to Eritrea, from Macau to Micronesia; from the troubled suburban teens, to the aborigines of the outback; from the high-powered executive, to the witch doctors of the jungle; from the patient dying in the cancer ward, to the child being born, what's wrong with the world? That's the question that Geoff Chang asks in this brilliant, exposition of Romans 1-2. Yep, he covers most of both chapters in one sermon. And it works! Geoff is one of our newest preachers, and I have to say, I love the way he handles "big picture" expository preaching. This is a great resource and a great model for me as a preacher.
